The Joy Of Cambodian Tuk Tuks

I definitely prefer motorbike taxis here over tuk tuks. The tuk tuks are slow and cumbersome, but when it rains they can be closed and the passenger is shielded from the rain as you can see below.

But in Siem Reap, they take tuk tuk design to the next level. Some places I went in Latin America had colorful tuk tuks, but Cambodian tuk tuks.. well, they are a different breed.

And no, I don’t know why Batman seems to be such a common design. A Batman tuk tuk was actually at the bus station in Siem Reap and was the first one I saw – a harbinger of what was to come for sure!

So, enjoy these tuk tuk and transportation pictures from Siem Reap, Cambodia.

We rode an awesome bumblebee tuk-tuk — I think it was in Cambodia but it could have been Thailand.

I love what you’re doing and love your blog! My family did a miniature version from 2008-2011: http://www.Pfalzertravels.blogspot.com. We lived in Palau, Micronesia and then KL, Malaysia. While there, we were able to travel all over SE Asia.

    Take care!
