What Is Almost As Awesome As A Friday Night Date With An Exotic Colombian?

A date with exotic Colombian fruit!

Yes, it’s Friday, January 20th and I’m in for the night. On the way back to where I’m staying, I decided I should stop at the grocery store and try some of the exotic fruit they have here.

Let me tell you, it was crazy!

Below you can see what I bought.

Shockingly, all this fruit and the guava juice only cost 5648 Colombian Pesos, or $3.10.

Besides the mango, which I forgot to take pictures of since it was the most common of the group for me, each fruit offered a big surprise once opened. And then again, once tasted, each fruit offered something I didn’t expect. Some were unexpectedly sweet, while others were unexpectedly acidic or sour.

To be honest, for most of them I didn’t know if you ate the skin or not. So I opened each with a knife and I’m pretty sure none have edible skin.

In the end, my stomach was full of goodness and I got to try a lot of these exotic fruits. I still haven’t tried raw guanabana, but it’s on my list.
